What do YOU love about Barred Rocks?

I bought 4 point-of-lay BR pullets and want to know as much as I can about them, so any info would be helpful. I'd also like to know what everyone loves and/or doesn't love about Barred Rocks and why...

I like my Barred Rocks because they are so calm. They seemed less aggressive than my Rhode Island Reds. It made a nice even hen house.

Mine are calm and relatively friendly. They're some of the first ones there eating out of my hand when I sit down with treats. They seem to be very consistent layers, and lay big, beautiful eggs. One went broody, and hatched out a bunch of silkies for me just before her 1st birthday, but they're not always broody like my bantam cochins are turning out to be (which is ok, because that's why I bought the cochins). I think it would be wonderful to have a whole flock of BR's, if I wasn't so addicted to all the different varieties...

I love my Barred Rocks because they are very docile and great layers of large eggs, even through our hot Ga summer.

BRs are very great. They are heavy brown-egg layers, calm and good mums, I have 9 hens they give me at least 5 eggs a day.

I got 4 BR and one RIR this spring They are a lot calmer then the red. They should start laying soon. I noticed my roo on one of them today.

love them pretty great foragers very docile and i wish one of mine didnt get ate last night
