What do you make? Handcrafted / Handmade / Made with Love

Pics
This is my project right now. Since I'm laid off for the winter, I'm building my stockpile of saddles up for next year. This year was hard, working then coming home and making saddles all evening. I'm hoping to get ahead this time finally. Then again, every year that I think that, I never have enough. There's about 230 saddles worth of fabric in this stack... almost half of what I sold just in this size this year! It's going to be a busy winter!

Then a couple weeks ago I got a request for a silkie sweater. It took a lot of trial and error but this was the result. The silkie in the picture is not mine. She was the one that it was made for. It ended up being a little bit big (my model apparently was chunkier) but they said they want to fatten her up anyway lol.

I just got a request for a BIG sweater... for a broad breasted turkey! That should be fun and interesting! I'll be busy for the rest of the week for sure! They said they don't have a color preference... what color do you all think would look good on her? This is her. I made the belly guard that she's wearing in the picture so I have an idea already on sizing, I'm just not sure what color.

It took me a moment to find that Silkie's head.
The sweater is very pretty!

I love the soap gems!! :love And the slice ornaments are also terrific! I've done some elaborate pinecones, but have always wanted to do some slices like yours.

Bunny feet... how do those wear? Warm I bet!

Warm for sure. I think I could improve the design, though. 🤔 They could use to be a little stiffer and more well padded.

How did you cut all those out? My hands are cramping just looking at that stack!

How about using the sole of a flip flop? You could use the grippy fabric for the bottom, fur inside, and design fabric on the top.

Flip flop is a little thicker than I was looking for and requires chopping up a flipflop. :p I'm thinking a cardboard insert and more padding would be sufficient tbh, or foam sheet. The were almost stiff enough with the fabric and padding layers on their own.

What are all of the artists and crafters up to this year?! Share your pictures in this thread!

This thread is to show off your arts and crafts pictures and chat but not to post a sales listing! Check out BYC’s Buy Sell Trade forum, bonus points if you share the link to the items you sell BYC’s BST forum with your pictures!
(Please do not post direct links to any other websites with your items for sale as it’s against BYC rules.)

I love supporting small businesses and crafters and there's no better time to do this than when fulfilling a Christmas list! I try to do this every year because I have many friends that support their families by making handcrafted items and I was thinking that there are probably many people that I chat with all the time here at BYC and I don't realize that they too offer handmade items that would make great gifts! So, I’m curious, what you make?
