What do you plant?

Hi,
I hope this is where I can ask this question.
We have a backyard chicken tractor and 5 hens. We move it every 3-4 days.

What is the best thing to plant in the bare spot? We've just been replanting grass, and it's growing, but I was wondering if there would be something more beneficial for the girls to be eating.

Any thoughts?

My husband is used to planting green fields for deer, but I don't think you can get that kind of mix this time of year. Guess we'll just stick with grass and I'll look for some clover at the feed store.
