What do you think came first? The chicken or the egg?

I think dinosaurs were chickens.

Or were bird like. So maybe the chicken came first.

I believe in evolution because scientific evidence backs it up. While I believe the Bible can create spiritual enlightenment, I believe it was written by men and therefore susceptible to the limitations of men.

So for me it is egg.
Once upon a time there was an "almost, but not quite chicken". Perhaps it was more pheasantish? Anyway, this "almost, but not quite chicken" went on to lay a clutch of eggs which had a genetic mutation, which made the occupants of said eggs not "almost, but not quite chickens", but an actual chickens. The environment favored these birds for some reason, allowing them to grow, reproduce and make more chickens.

The evolutionary track of the beginnings of life is just a science theory but evolution its self is a proven fact. There is lots of animals that in our lifetime have evolved in to something that would not be recognized as the same creature it was 20 years ago. As habitat changes so does the creatures in it. So believing in creation an evolution at the same time is not wrong in its self.

Very few natural enviroments will support fresh hatched chicks without some support from the mother, therefore the chicken came first, otherwise the chick that hatched out of the egg would have died.

Ah but God created the world to appear old, which explains fossils and dinosaurs. The theory of evolution and science itself are actually man made creations.
