I vote with doing them in Fimo. That way, the people can keep them!
The OP mentioned that she doesn't think her Aunt has workd with fondant before. A lady I know at the craft store has a daughter who is a pastry chef. She said her daughter buys the books that show you how to make stuff out of Sculpey and Fimo, but makes them out of pastillage, which I believe is stronger than fondant( but not sure)
How about a set of little birthday candle holders? They would be great baby shower gifts. You could sell them in a pretty little storage basket/box. You sell a set of ten, and reuse them every year until the 'baby' is ten years old. (I had a porcelain set as a child. I have also seen them in silver-plate).
How about chicken refridgerator magnets?Chicken dangly earrings? Chicken Christmas tree ornaments?
