What do you think of Nutrena layer pellets?

Anyone use this? My chickens will not eat Purina....

I've fed Nutrena for a couple of years - girls ate it fine and were very healthy. But this year I switched to an organic layer mash, and the way they dived into the first batch you would have thought I hadn't fed them in weeks. Sooo . . . . not sure if they really liked it, if that matters to you. They did eat it, though, and it gave good results.

Your chickens never need to eat Purina, just saying. I own no Purina stock.

That said, I've never, ever in 50 years seen a chicken starve themselves to death. They may prefer one feed over another, pellets over crumbles or vice versa, but by day two or three, they'll eat just about anything.

i have been feeding nutrena for most of the time i have had my girls. i tried purina once and my girls like the nutrena a whole lot better. i have been feeding crumbles but was at the feed store today and got the pellets, have not opened them yet but its the same as crumbles just bigger. nutrena is what i will feed from now on. my girls are healthy and happy
