What do you think? Should my wife have her own screen name?

Warning: Watch out for these folks!! They will sucker you in to their chicken-loving circle.
I do NOT like chickens, and I got my own screen name because my husband, Bird Hearder, was unable to find time to ask some questions here. And being that I just happen to be able to spend alot of time reading the forum ( 40 hours a week LOL), he talked me into getting my own name.
And so it started.. And I DO spend alot of my workday reading posts, looking at pictures etc etc..
Before you know it, you will be building a second coop, and those totally ridiculous looking things passing themselves off as chickens ( Polish and frizzles, I think- or maybe silkies and sizzles?)- anyway, they will start looking like cool looking chickens.
And you will find yourself like I did today- in the midst of a tropical storm, going out in the torrential rain to check on the chickens. Not once, or twice, but so far 5 times soaked to the skin.
Yup, I just wanted to warn you.

I do NOT like chickens. But this dern forum..... these People!!! These people have some sort of .. chicken power. So much chicken love it... like.. overflows. And you WILL get caught in the flood...

I finally had to make my own forum handle because my hubby (Mr. Yardbird) said he didn't appreciate me posting under his name with titles such as Our New Babies...and Awww...sweetest thing ever.....whoooda thunk it hehe.
I was sad when my hubby first ordered chickens...another animal to feed, take care of etc...now i'm obsessed and we got in 26 more 3 days ago....and these forums...if it wasn't for the fact that I get interrupted alot at work, I'd never get any work done!

There is no need to warn us, its too late for us. I have plenty of time to check the forum usually when I am at work so I spend plenty of time reading while at work. We have had as many as eleven chickens but unfortunately lost all but three. But next week we have 26 more chicks coming to join the family of now six spoiled chickens.

I understand your husband for not wanting the postings under his name. We have our masculinity to keep in mind. LOL!

I don't know how many posts I will be putting on here because it has taken me nearly twenty minutes to figure this forum thing out.
Our new coop is looking good! We can post a pic of it when it gets completed (well maybe my husband can).

Welcome AngieK I know the number of posts from you will add up much quicker than you would expect. This site is addictive. So many nice people, ideas and help.
