I would think you have a cockerel, but at almost 8 weeks it is not for sure from the picture. I had my first australorps 2 years ago. At different times from 7 weeks old I was convinced one or more were cockerals, but they all turned out to be pullets.

Update:
Well, I heard him crow yesterday and he is looking much more like a Roo than ever before. Now to figure out what to do with him lol
