What do you think?

That could be a really fun project and turn into a fabulous coop! I would stack them like blocks and put in a few ramps.

ETA: Might be hard to clean that way though.

Those are great! You could easily use them like they are with little adjustment. Or you could buy several and take them apart and use as walls or completely dismantle and build it how ever.

I used pallets that were used for shipping marble. I only kept one base and am using that as the coop floor. The rest I took completely apart and has given me plenty of wood to build the rest of the coop.

Good luck!

If you turn them so they lay on their side with the open part to the inside you can have nestbox "walls" - wouldn't the ladies LOVE that! Cool find!

My husband helped me convert a similar crate into a coop. He cut the "lid" in half to make doors. Then attached the "half doors" back onto the crate with hinges. Put the whole thing on its side, so the "lid" now became doors that you could open one or both at a time. During construction we also raised the roof on one side for runoff and added a vent for air flow. He cut a pop hole into the front and used the door as a ramp that stays permanently down. He also installed rails for a sliding door on a pulley system that I can open from the back deck via a long string/chain. Word of warning though- this thing is heavy! Very difficult for us to move. It usually takes 2 strong guys to move it.

Thanks for all the Great suggestions! I'm gonna try and get some next week and see what I can turn them into. I'll let you know or show you:)

Wow I want some .. I can think of hundreds of things to do to those to make coops.. You could stack a few take a part some to fill holes or make nest boxes ... the list goes on and on .... Have fun..
