What do you use for flooring in your runs?

I was wondering what you use or find is the best flooring for your chicken runs. I just added some natural mulch in the back run. In the front run it is old broken down mulch and dirt. There is no water that gets into the run So it stays pretty dry.

I mainly use pine straw, which has the twin advantages of being free for the raking on my property and of drying out quickly on top after even the heaviest rain. :)

I also dump in all the other stuff that the lawnsweeper collects -- leaves, dried grass clippings, etc. and have some straw in there from winter (when I give them intact bales as wind-baffles).

I *would* use coarse wood chips from the tree trimming service except that this particular area has to go back to grass once the new coop is finished.
