What do you use for your fencing and run covers?

I've been looking at poultry netting, welded wire, cage wire- and I am getting confused!

I'll need something to reinforce around the windows and base of my coop, something to frame out the run walls and something to cover the run from predators.

I know that I want the strongest for reinforcing the coop and maybe the run walls, but can I go with a lighter weight poultry netting for the run cover?

What do you use and where do you buy it?

Farm supply store.

Hardware cloth - 1/2" grid. for the base of EVERYTHING.

Depends on the size of your birds and/or predators. I have seen an Opposum get through a 2" hole, and drag a chicken back through with him... I was MAD!!!!!

Most chickens less that 6 weeks old can find a way through a 2" hole. But for adult birds that are only in the run during daylight hours, B'villechicken is correct, the 2x2 welded wire will work for run walls.​

What should I be more concerned about, gauge or the size of the holes?

Would I want 1/2"x1/2" 19 gauge or 1"x1" 16 gauge for the run walls?
