If you are concerned about losing any of the oils on her feathers, then I recommend a product called "EZ-all". It's made for horses and comes in two strengths: an everyday formula, and a super strength formula. I use the everyday formula on my horses, dog, and birds (I use it as infrequently as possible tho). It doesn't strip the oils and is very gentle. So far it has done a nice job on the white parts of my dog and rooster.
