What do you use to deworm your flock?

What do you all use for a dewormer? I used to keep Wazine17 on hand, but now that it is discontinued I'm unsure what I should use. Any suggestions with dosing would be greatly appreciate

I used panacur horse wormer. I can't remember the dose. Maybe @casportpony knows. I found the dose on one of her posts. I don't think I can find it again though. Lots of people use safeguard goat wormer. I never personally have because it was too expensive for my cheap budget but it sounds like it works good. I think it depends more on what type of worms you want to treat for.

Safeguard goat dewormer from TSC worked great for roundworms for me. Just be sure to measure out according to bodyweight, there are a few threads on here about the proper formula. Are you looking to target specific types of worms?

Nothing specific at this time, but I try to keep what I need on hand. I went through my cabinet to checking my supplies and found that I was low on Wazine. Now that I can't get it I want to find a replacement to keep on hand.

This is a thread I had on deworming.

No worries! Safeguard works good for roundworm, but some like gapeworm may require something stronger.

Are you saying you never saw a worm in your birds poo?

Do the chickens free range?

Am glad I saw your reply. I was unsure if I needed to deworm every so often which I haven’t done. Now I feel better...
