What do you use to get rid of a HUGE mice problem in the coop?

it works real well, found out by accident, had a bucket of water in the feed room and went in there the next morning and bingo, 2 mice, no clue how they got in there being a 5 gal bucket but they were

Poison. The chicks aren't there yet so I wouldn't worry too much. I would suggest using a large block of poison so the mice have to chew pieces off. I once used the poison pellets and found pellets stashed everywhere including my shoes! They were saving it instead of eating it. That could be a problem if the chickens come accross a mouse stash.

There is a trap called the T rex. (I think) You set it differently than the old finger nippers and when you catch a mouse you don't have to touch it. You just take the trap to the garbage, release the mouse and reset it. They are inexpensive and worth every penny.
