Well I have 4 ducks. A male mallard, a female buff, a male domestic bibbed mallard, and a unsexed buff / mallard cross.

We have a wild Moscovy that hangs around. I used to have a blue Swedish.


Well lately I have been CRAVING to get some tame moscovies and I dont know why!

As soon as I get my other fenced in enclosure cleaned out, I might just get me a couple. ( when the tornado came by it knocked a large tree onto the fence and it caved in)


So has anyone else been craving more ducks? You can never have too many!
Are there any breeds you have had before that you wish you had? Or a breed youd like to try out?

well I went to a poultry show last weekend and they had these little ducks that were black and green and purple with fat little cheeks, and I want them

I can't get anymore - I already have 18 chickens, 6 ducks, 6 guinea's in a 27X7 coop - I don't want to squish them up.

Next I would like some little serama's - they're just toooo cute!

I like Game's as well, they look really lovely with those LONG legs.

I have had various types of ducks..

My list is:

Mallards
Rouens
Blue Swedish
Cayugas (Or however you spell it

)
Pekins
Muscovies

By FAR the muscovies are my favorite, they are very quiet and GREAT mothers. I didn't like the mallard derived ducks at all.. they eat TONS of food, are too loud, and are messy.

If you do get muscovies, you should try JM hatchery, I bought some and was VERY happy with them!

I want some well bred runners. They remind me of bowling pins. With the plus of being good egg layers.
Little black/green and purple sound like black east indies.

I want a pair of Mandarins and Cayugas, but I have 8 ducks already, so I don't know if that will happen.
