what do your chickens do in the winter?

Mine are out all winter, even in the snow. I generally shovel some areas for them to hang out in. The forge their own paths, too. We're in western NY, near Niagara Falls and Buffalo.

mine stayed in for weeks on end this past winter because we had lots of snow, they wouldnt go out in snow. Once I actually saw my roo shiver and stand on one foot, then turn and go right back in. Even when offered to free range they wouldnt step out.
