What do your quail lay in?

Do you put any kind of nesting box in the pen for your quail to lay in? My first bunch is 8 weeks now still no eggs. I am I in too much of a rush?

i have a 5 gallon bucket on it's side with straw in it. works good!

Mine tend to lay them anywhere in the pen. They dont seem to have any favourite spot of requirements for nests.

Mine just drop an egg on the sloped wire floor where ever they feel like it.

My A&Ms lay in their sandbox and my browns lay wherever they feel like it.

In the hutch they mostly lay inside the indoor part, on the wire pens they just lay where ever

But when I put the dust pan in they lay in that

Four of mine lay in the left-hand, back corner. One lays in the left-hand, front corner, and I have to paw around to find it (I have a solid base with wire up top, and she always lays it up against the bottom "wall").
My buttons, on the other hand... The hen from my pair lays RIGHT under the water bottle, with the occasional egg beside the food dish. The other ladies usually lay on the side with the water bottle, but not under it. I think my cinnie roo sometimes moves them to the other corner, where he tries to brood them... Lol.

Most of my coturnix lay their eggs in their dust bath boxes. The buttons lay all their eggs in their hidey-hut.
