what does a flopped comb mean?

One of my Delawares has a flopped comb too- sometimes it's the quickest way for me to tell them apart.

Just had to show my Eve's flopped comb. I think all leghorns have them.

This was at 20 wks. As she's gotten older(now 30wks) its flopped more & more.

My little brown leghorn has a flopped over comb. He/she (not sure yet-I think it's a roo) lives with 13 others and nobody is sick or brooding or anything like that. I have read that they grow out of it sometimes. He/she is 22 weeks old now and this started at least a month ago, maybe two. The comb is huge for such a little bird. It is my smallest bird and very skittish. It has NEVER let me pick it up without squawking and squirming and running from me.

Hi! I was wondering the same thing. I have a RIR and a BR that have their combs flopping down. They seem very healthy and happy little girls...just looks funny! I am new raising chickens. I have 14 hens and one rooster. All is going well so far except for the comb thing. They are 20 wks. (this is my first post) Yay! :)
