When I got our one week old chicks, two of them were advertised as "moderate producer of eggs". Does that mean they do not lay an egg daily? Thank you!

Around 150 eggs a year is a reasonable rough average.
High production breeds can lay 300+ eggs a year and some breeds may only lay 100 or even less eggs a year

They were supposed to be Plymouth Blue Rocks...but one turned out to have feathers on her feet, so she is obviously another breed! LOL!! Another question: does a "moderate" producer lay every other day? or just a couple times a week?

Young birds may lay almost every day. As they get older, it may turn into 2-4 times a week.

If you need help with breed identification free to post pictures.
