what does a "pipped egg" mean?

I have duck eggs in my incubator also just one has externally pipped. It had a small whole at 6 amView attachment 1021436

Great I have four duck eggs I. Due the 10 hope they hatch. Had one egg zip but them chick died before it hatched.

Patiently waiting for these duck eggs to hatch, more are externally pipped. The first one is still working on getting out, I can hear it peeping. It's so hard to wait

I had 3 Muscovy eggs that a chicken was sitting on, she was broody, but the Muscovy hens were not. One hatched a few days ago - that egg was laid a week before the other two. I found the hen walking around the coop with the duckling and the other two eggs were cool. I brought them in the house and candled them. I thought I saw some movement, so I have them under a lamp now. They are due next week, and I have never hatched an egg in my life. What do I do?
