I have seen several different pics of Sultans and they all look different. Some are very fluffy and look like silkies and some appear to look like hawks or eagles? I have seen diff pics on ebay too. I also noticed somebody was selling Sultan hatching eggs and used a pic from wikipedia and one from the BYC site. Why they didn't take pics of their own Chickens? Hmmm. Does anybody have any pics or sites of what a true pure Sultan looks like? Is the one on BYC correct? Thanks so much!!!

MyPetChicken pictures, though I'm not sure myself what qualifies as a 'real' Sultan. Very few people on BYC have them and if they do, most have them from hatcheries. And we both know that hatcheries don't breed birds to standard.

I've seen that Sultans are supposed to have a full crest like the Polish but most that I've seen have slightly smaller crests.

For differing pictures and examples, go here:

Feathersite is going to have better examples of the breed because a good chunk of them are from outside the U.S.

I have a Sultan however I myself don't know if she is truely bred to standard. She's going to be in my county fair on the 25th regardless.

FREE, FOUR MONTH OLD SULTAN ROOSTER! I have four roosters and one hen from a straight run hatch. They are pets, used to even give baths (my girl did it). Very gentle, but I need only one rooster or two not four. I live in Columbus, GA. Please give him a good home.

To me they look like a silkie/Polish cross. No silkie feathers , v-comb but 5 toes and feathered legs. I would love to have some, lol, but I think Columbus is a little far for me to travel to get roosters.
