Faith, according to the Bble, is also a gift. Everyone that comes into the world is given "a measure of faith" (Romans 12:3). That faith may be small, only as big as "a mustard seed" (Mark 4:31), which is very tiny. But that faith, used and cutivated, can grow and accomplish great things. Who has not seen and marveled at a sapling that took root in a tiny crack of a huge boulder, that over time developed such powerful roots that it split the boulder in two? Or who has not cursed a persistent tree which, in spite of being cut down repeatedly, continued to grow and raise up a portion of a sidewalk or push a wall out of alignment? As we exercise our tiny seed of faith it grows into a mighty channel of God's power and strength in our world for all to see - and some may rejoice and marvel at its influence while others may curse and resent it.
