What does running up and sitting down mean?

I have two hens that do that squat thing when you go to pick them up, its a submissive behavior. Then you can just pick them up easily. thats really cute she comes running when you call her. Keep giving her treats so she will always follow you around. My chickens come running a lot when I go out, I like to think its because they like me, but I know its really about the food! hee hee

What kind of treats do you give them? So far all she's had is the starter mixed with a little scratch now. She comes cuz she loves us!! That is until the treats start!
