What does sex link mean?

I read you folks speculating that this or that chick could be a sexlink...What does that mean?
 
Some breeds of chickens are different colors/marked as chicks, as far as gender goes. So one can identify if they are pullets or cockerels as soon as they are hatched.
 
It just means that they are a cross of two chickens where the offspring is able to be sexed at birth by color.

ex: rir rooster with a barred rock hen= sexlinks

the males will have a white spot on top their heads when hatched and will be barred when they are adults
the females will be solid black when hatched and will have some red in the chest when they are adults
