Granny's gone and done it again

You're just trying to empathize with Pi, aren't you?
🤣🤣🤣
Oh! I mean yes, yes of course I am!
🙄
Now however did you manage to do that?
Well remember last year a tiny bone in my right knee broke because I was engaging in the wild and crazy activity of ... getting out of bed?
So this time, a couple of weeks ago, I lost my mind again and decided to try something really nuts and attempted ... to sit in my recliner! Basically, these are just spontaneous breaks. I'm almost bone on bone in some spots in my knee joint. Now I'm speculating here but I think what happens is the more healthy bone of my thigh bone crushes the more porous bone of the tibia in my lower leg, and a tiny piece of bone pops off or gets crushed. It barely shows up in the images but boy does it hurt!

pre-brain injury
I don't remember, Did she fall from a horse? I know she is a great horse woman.
By deliver meals are you meaning meals on wheels or one of the home delivered meal programs offered through some insurances now? I remember MOW was odd in Jefferson County (you do fall on the Jefferson county side, right?) -
Yes, Insurance. I did get it straightened out. I called Insurance and she took care of it. Thank you. However I am looking for a free lawyer for House transfer. A will I guess and I also have some paperwork here to fill out for over payment of taxes. There used to be a place in downtown Madison that helped for free. It was also a food give away. That is all I remember about it. oh and no, Im ripley

Thank goodness we did wills years ago - to make sure the kids are covered. Yes Hubby's memory for dates is c!@p but he is hard working, honest and brilliant at building and fixing stuff, so I kept him. :D My memory is pretty good. Born '56 married '76 had son '86 - daughter mucked up the line born '91 Born 7th married 6th had son 5th - darn daughter  born 1st.
Here in Aust property goes to whoever the will says. Unless other parties dispute it, but mostly even then the courts will uphold the will. Neither of us have exes (bit difficult when you have been together since your teens) or "other" kids. (If I find out he does after he is gone it will be too late to kick him anyway)
No Will in Aust is also complicated - but generally everything is divided evenly between current spouse and kids.

My house I bought as a single woman is only in my name.
Me either, plus I couldn’t keep up with the yard work
This one is in mine and Toms. They told me when something happens to Tom it would go to me. Trick wording, they meant the loan not the house.

Trying to get assistance once you are mature can be fun - not.
Getting wound assistance for Mum's abcess was easy - silver chain will come every 4 days (she asked to be a PM call) they ring and say will be there in 10min (anytime from 8.30AM to 3.30PM) Oh well, at least they do it and it's free.
House cleaning you can get if they only do the easy stuff - better than nothing - but the easy stuff she can still do. It's the hard stuff that is hard and in need of doing. :he

We had those same issues when Tom was getting a nurse. I told them a couple times Im not up early and I need time to put the dogs up. A couple times of not putting them up changed their minds on the time line. For House keeping I had one person out of plenty tell me she wasn't allowed so I called her boss. They wanted our business so they changed their minds about what was allowed.

Amen! I'm up to my eyeballs in dog hair here, everything is coated in dust/ pollen/ ashes, and nobody seems to notice but me, and I can't do it! :barnie I need someone to sweep, mop, dust, and organize, and then I need another somebody to fix a few screens (birds have crashed into them over the years and now wasps and ladybird beetles can just waltz right in!) Someone needs to clean the gutters and at 70 I don't think DH should be doing it ...sigh, and more! I need HELP!

She was and is still very much a great horse woman, I am so grateful that she did not have to give that up. The injury, though, is actually courtesy of the US Army. She was going to college on a full ride ROTC scholarship on track for the Army vet Corps, between freshman and sophomore years of college she was required to go to a summer training at Fort Knox where she had an injury on the obstacle course and her entire life changed direction..... she was deemed unable to fulfill her obligations to the Army due to the injury and therefore was no longer eligible for her scholarship, between losing the scholarship and focusing on her recovery, schooling and her intended career path pretty much went out the window. She's doing great now, happily married and an awesome mom, but she still has some lasting effects from the injury that she will deal with for the rest of her life.

That's right, you were Ripley county. I'm glad you got the meals part figured out, I do remember when they opened up the fancy new food bank and Resource Center downtown in Madison it might have been lifetime resources or lifespan resources.... it's been so long I can't remember the name but I could tell you exactly what the building looked like :hmm. I do remember that there, unlike here in oregon, the area agency on aging, AAA, was not housed within the Community Action Agency..... the AAA is who should have the information you need for resources for legal assistance that may be available, that would be lifespan or lifetime resources if you haven't already been in touch with them
