So I have been looking at several incubators just for the future and have seem some stuff about still or forced air. What is the difference? What is the difference? Also I was kinda confused about the difference between humidity and air. Why do they need air? I also am going to link 2 incubators I am looking at. If you guys have had any luck with them I would love to know. Thanks in advance!

Forced air means there's a fan moving the air about. Still air doesn't.

Forced air is supposed to keep a more consistent temperature in an incubator.

Air is necessary because the embryo will need air towards the end and during hatch. Eggs are porous.

Humidity is important because too much will drown a embryo, and not enough will dry them out and shrink wrap them in the egg.

I don't use an incubator, only broody hens so I can't help you decide.

Thanks for the reply! That was real helpful. Right when I posted this I went to look in my duck book...and it answered all the Q's. I am so dumb(should have just looked in the book at first). Now I really just need to know if those incubators will work. I guess I can post an thread on the duck forum(as I will be hatching ducks)
