what does the water temp

"about room temp"

For babies I always let it warm up from the tap, then check with my wrist to make sure it wasn't too hot.

Once they moved outside they just get whatever's coming out of the faucet.

97 is high even for the brooder temp. Mine were happy between 90 and 95. for the very first week, they quickly got hot as they grew though. Mainly just watch the chicks and provide both a warmer and cooler area.

The drinking water should be warm, but not hot. Like handwash warm, or baby bottle warm, but not dishwashing hot. You don't want to chill the chicks, that's all.

Thanks all for the info!!
