what does this chicken dance mean?

my 3 young hens are very friendly always greet me at the coop when I go out there, will sit on me while I visit with them, but the other day when I walked into the coup, all 3 ran up to me, positioned themselves on their left side and stretching out their right wing- it was like they synchronized it, doing this all at the same time- wonder what they were trying to say? thanks for any input, love this forum

Looks like they are sunbathing.... Never seen three hens all sit down and do it at the same time! That's funny but don't think it's anything else I might be wrong though.. I'm sure someone else will help

My chickens do this as well....but usually in the dirt. They like to dirt bath very often so I till their pen every couple of weeks after it gets hard packed. They love the freshly tilled dirt and will dirt bathe for hours.
