This morning I went to the incubator and my call duckling hatched! I've had a breeding pair of pastels for about a year and this was the only fertile egg we've gotten. Tomorrow we are picking up another duckling so it's not alone:) it is a mallard crossed with a khaki campbell. Does anyone know what this might turn out like? Any pictures will be appreciated:)

Coloring will change and progress with age as far a chickens are concerned. I assume ducks should be the same. I have a whether goat about 2ish. He was jet black at birth, now he is brownish. We have a chicken born grey that turned spotted. We hatch Moulted Java chicks that hatch with one black spot on the back. When they mature, they are speckled black and white. The waiting is the best part.

I have a Khaki/Appleyard cross so I did a lot of searching to find out what he would look like. Their are some posts about Khaki/Mallard crosses and they are very pretty. To me they look like a Khaki with facial stripes. They also have a more prominant blue patch on the wing and more green in the head and rust on the chest if it is a male. My cross has those traits as well but he is bigger than a normal Khaki and I think yours will be smaller than a Khaki. This is him at different stages:
