What does this mean?

So my 5 month old silkie/polish cross started to make weird purring/growling sounds and won't move. It's been at least ten minutes. The chicks started to do it too. Should I be worried? Everything was fine before.​

Is she in her nesting box when she does that? If so, she is broody!!!! If you want more chicks, now if the time to put some fertile eggs under her!

No, but it's the first time she's done that noise for so long, and she eventually settled down with the chicks surrounding her. She has also been more calcium hungry lately. Maybe she's getting closer to laying her first egg?
