What does this noise mean? My hen piper does it sometimes

I'm pretty sure it's a hen. I could be wrong. This is our first year raising chickens. They are about 13 weeks right now. I'll attach some pictures.

I see a cockerel. His coloring is very light which is common in roosters of this breed and i can just barley see some saddle feathers growing in. Sorry to say but you hen is a rooster.

That's what we feared :(. We can't have a rooster in our area. Anyone know of rescues that will take roosters in Ohio?

Where about in Ohio? Some of the dog/cat type shelters will also take farm animals. You can always try to rehome him yourself. It's unfortunate roosters are generally unwanted.

We would love to keep him but we can't in our city :(. Parma Heights
