This is my first coop that I made mostly from recycled/ left over lumber.

I am almost finished with my second coop (still need to finish the roof and touch up paint.)

gramakoko, that's an adorable coop and run! So nicely landscaped, too!

My coops look okay, but the run is such a cobbled-together, sprawling thing.... The ground is hard packed clay and rocks, I used T-posts to put up the 3 layers of fence material, and the garden posts holding up the swag of bird netting in the middle of the spans across the run are serviceable but it all looks trashy.

Thank goodness the chickens (and pair of ducks) don't care. Most of them free range; the youngest ones are still sticking to the run (and the very youngest ones are still in their coop and pen for growing out).

Coop #1 - I built it.

Used to be 2 dog Kennels for previous owner of the house. We use 1 side for the chickens (one mostly paneled), other side for storage of food, etc. It is completely paneled now, we remove 2 sections of paneling in the back for summer for more ventilation. The small fenced area is only there when adding new chickens.
