What does YOUR farmhouse look like?! Post pictures here!

For all of you who think you'll never have a home...you can do it!

This is my daughter's home (we have the chickens together) that she bought Dec. 2007. She was 20 years old at the time, a full-time college student, part-time server at a nice restaurant and Army Reservist. She decided she didn't want to pay rent anymore and set out to get financed for a house. I was VERY skeptical...banks had already just about stopped lending for houses to anyone unless they had a decent down payment. She kept at it and found this little 1500 sq. ft. farmhouse in the country here in Florida. Her loan finally came through and she is now a proud and very tired home owner. It's a 3 br/2 ba with 1/2 acre and an old barn. The barn is VERY usable but needs a new roof and new shedrow. We'll be tackling that this winter.

Together we gutted and rennovated the entire house between Jan. and April. An experience that I don't want to repeat but wouldn't take a million dollars for the time we spent together doing it!!

I don't have any pics on the laptop, but here is a link to our real estate listing:

We have only lived here 2 years, so not enough time to change things we would have liked to change. DH is getting orders next year and we decided to list it now to give ourselves plenty of time. We like it out here, nice and quiet. Great neighbors and plenty of room!

I have enjoyed looking at everyone's homes. I can't wait until DH retires so we can settle down and have the home I've always dreamed of!
