What dog breed is she?

even in those pictures, the muzzle is very broad, doesn't really say GSD to me.

Where did you get him from?

I dont see english mastiff in him at all actually. he doesnt appear to have the broad body or muzzle of a mastiff breed (the only wide part I see is the forehead area, but that might be an illusion because of the ear carriage).

Likely he is a lab mix. (as they are VERY common thoughout the country and atleast from the shadow on the ground, he appears to have a thick paddle like tail common to labs.)

as for the other breed, I agree with dutchhallow that Plott hound might be a VERY good guess. Plott's are rare in alot of the US, but if you from the southern or eastern part of the USA, Plott's become more common and more likely.
