what else can my chicks eat

My chicks are about 6 - 7 days old. can they eat anything else apart from my chick starter seed.

you can give them grass with the soil attached. mealworms and bits of vegetables,

I put a pea in last night i had left from dinner. one picked it up and was running around with it. the others were chasing her to. was funny to watch. No one actually ate it tho. they just kept on picking it. i don't think they knew what to do really.
