Okay. So I might be overthinking this, but here goes.
I was collecting my eggs as normal when I spotted... this?
Is this a thing? Or did this perfectly intact EE egg just get shoved into a broken eggshell? That peeled-off hole is the membrane of the brown egg and, under that, the shell of the blue egg. We have one EE and I'm guessing the brown egg is from one of our RIRs. Was it a RIR egg with two layers? Or what? I must know!
