I'd be grateful if people could suggest me a few breeds to consider...
I'd like something that looks dramatic, colourful and unusual, but is hardy enough to be free ranged and will lay in reasonable quantities.
Something that will probably integrate well with an existing small flock of Shavers and Black Rocks and probably Marans too.
Something that normally enjoys human company and is usually fairly calm and happy to be handled.
Nothing with feathery ankles and toes though please, as our farmyard can get a bit wet and muddy sometimes!
What breeds do you think I should be looking at?
