What Feathers To Clip?

Hi! I was thinking about breeding my geese and I have heard in order to breed them you have to clip certain feathers. I've had my geese go through many breeding seasons, but never have had a successful hatch. I don't know where or what feathers to clip and is it the gander or the goose or both. Perhaps you fellow goose breeders can tell me what I'm supposed to do in order to get the eggs fertilized. Thanks!

Basically the same as a chicken or duck, You will most likely need a helper to help contain the goose.By clipping there feathers in no way will help or worsen there breeding.

I think OP meant the Butt Fluff.

I'm no expert on geese, but had to trim butt feathers on my brahmas to help the roosters mate with them successfully.

Yes, clip the butt fluff on both birds.

I've never heard of anyone doing this, but i suppose it might help them find the "right spot".
