I'm thinking of getting sucks from tractor supply. I already have 6 hens and a rooster which are seperated. But do ducks eat the same layer as my hens? Any help is appreciated hope I don't sound stupid :)

No young birds should be given layer feed. It is too high in calcium and generally doesn't have enough protein for a growing bird. It's also not that great for your rooster's kidneys. Ducklings can be given chick starter (non medicated) but you need to add additional niacin. You could also give an all flock type food.

Check out this thread for lots of great info.

As ducklings, medicated chick starter is ok, just check the medication to ensure it is ok for ducks. Not all is and I don't recall off the top of my head what is ok or not.
Non- medicated chick started is fine
flock raiser is fine

once they are older, just layer pellets works fine for female ducks.
