My flock consists of silkies and showgirls, I’ve read that silkies do better with a higher protein diet? But I also read too much protein is not good ? What is a good % of protein for silkies? And can you recommend a good feed ! I’ve been using layer 16% from tractor supply but also offering feather fixer as they were molting! I was thinking about all flock I have a couple roosters also would anyone recommend this ? Thanks

I think what you’re feeding them already is fine.
You can feed them an all flock feed if you want but there is no need.
The layer is usually rich in all the protein they need in order to produce feathers, make eggs and grow. When they’re molting feeding them a little extra protein can help the regrowth of their feathers but other than that what you’re feeding them is fine.

For showing chickens from what I've read is they're fed a higher fat feed.
The Feather Fixer has 4% Fat to produce nice Feathers.
I've fed that during the first summer for my first Flock of Golden Comets.
It also contains enough Calcium for most Layers, but not as much as most Layer feed.
If it wasn't so expensive I'd feed it year round like it says you can on the bag. GC
