What feed is good?

So I’ve been hearing and seeing people talking about organic and non organic feed, what do u use?
I use Sprout all flock 18% pellets, not sure if it’s medicated?
I feed my chicks Sprout non medicated chick started crumbles 18%
What is organic feed? And is sprout good?

Organic chicken feed is feed that is certified to be free of additives such as pesticides, hormones, antibiotics or other 'foreign' substances.

All flock is good if you have roosters, but you will need to supplement the hens' diet with oyster shell or something else to give them a calcium boost. If you have no roosters, a layer formula should do nicely, although I always make oyster shell available.

I don't use organic feed, but some prefer it. I may switch if I am able to pay for the extra feed costs by selling some eggs.

Organic feed goes by the same guidelines as organic food for humans: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organic_certification

There's no right answer to whether or not you should use it. I choose to eat organic as much as possible so because I want organic eggs (not certified, but "close enough") I feed the chickens organic. Same with how I handle my veggie garden.
