What feed to feed baby quail, can I feed medicated chick feed?

I feed my babies 28% protein game bird feed.
Adults get 16% chicken layer feed.

We have northern Bobwhite and feed the chick starter for the first 6 weeks then switch over to the wild bird chow and a millet mix that we get special order. I have heard that the medicated feed is fine. If your raising for meat or egg production, then it's a good idea to check with your local laws on how long you need to withdraw the medicated feed before butcher or eating the eggs. Or if a withdrawal is needed at all.

The "medicated" part of the feed is not an antibiotic...there is zero withdrawal for it's use.
