what food to give when combining layers and ducklings

What were you feeding them? Just the Purina? All mine have done great on the Purina duck pretty much exclusively. Last year I was reducing the protein by cutting the feed with oats per Dave Holderread's advice. This year my ducklings didn't get any oats and they've done fine.

You'll probably find some conflicting info on the subject. A lot of people on here swear by a high protein diet. Honestly the conversation can get a bit contentious.

I ordered a food that is not layer and has 16%. protein, so hopefully that will be here in a couple days. Meanwhile adding some oats and making sure they get plenty of time on the grass. Her wing has folded back in, and now just kind of droops when she's tired. I'm having her wear her sock sweater off and on. If she doesn't have her sweater on though her friend keeps nipping at her quills and making them bleed, so I'm keeping them separate until the feathers are more developed. I think it will work out in the end. Thanks everyone!!
