I have these 2 leghorns, silver and brown, that we got from a feed store. They are 7-8 weeks old but my husband said he heard some one crowing in the brooder this morning. I'm wondering if anyone can tell if o

ne of these is looking like a roo. For obvious reasons I want to say the silver but I know leghorn hens can have large combs. Any experts out there?

The crowing is a sure sign and the development of the larger comb and waddles. Also the feet are usually much larger than the females, or thicker, chunkier looking. the neck feathers are not rounded but pointy.
