Hi, I have 4 quail chicks and I have had some trouble with finding out what gender they are. I read somewhere that you can tell what gender they are by their chest feathers but I can’t tell. I wanted to know what gender they are. They are all about 2 weeks old and are Japanese quails (not sure if that will make a difference)

The two dark brown Tibetan types you'll have to wait until 5-6 weeks for, as males and females look exactly the same.

I'll eat my hat if your silver's not a boy.

Probably the other golden/silver spotted one too but give it another week, it's a bit early.

I had a feeling that the 2 lighter ones were boys and was confused about the 2 darker ones, I’ll be sure to post about them and ask again in due time. Thank you for your help ☺️
