What gender/breed is this chicken?

we brought this chicken home from middle school. It was hatched for a science experiment. We don’t know if it’s a girl or boy and also what kind of breed . Anyone know ?

That comb in the first pic has me thinking it is a male.

Very hard to tell the gender at this age. But my guess is cockerel BECAUSE you can see wattle development and very big comb for such a youngster!
