what gender do you think this is?

I picked up a chicken today from a lady she wasn't sure be thought maybe it was a hen. it's supposedly a silkie/ old English game mix bantam about 4 months old. what do you guys think rooster or hen?


I appreciate any help. I think it's a beautiful bird and I have other bantams the same age but I need to know if it's a male or female before I make any introductions.. thank you..

I'm calling roo, but could be wrong. The comb and wattles are still small which would suggest pullet, but those tail feathers and its size have me thinking roo...

I'm saying rooster. Those wattles are just very big for a 16 week old, and I see pointy hackle feathers coming in.

Thank you....maybe in a month or two it'll be easier to tell for sure. I really hope it turns out to be a hen.. i'll keep it ether way, it's a neat looking bird.

I see saddle feathers that's 100% rooster, and he is a silkie mix.

Looks like a silkie x light brahma, and it's a roo.
