What gender is it?

Hi everyone!

So, I'm taking care of a crossbreed of a silver phoenix female and a male golden phoenix.

It was rejected by it's mother and I took it home with me so that it could survive.

However it is 6 weeks and a half now and since I'm planning to start grouping with the rest of the flock I'm a bit afraid because I cannot for sure tell the gender.

If you have any idea please let me know! Thank you!

Certainly looks like a boy, for 6 weeks. I don't know much about the development of phoenixes, though- going to tag @JacinLarkwell for that. They could be super duper early combers and I wouldn't know.

Yes it looks like a cockerel but I am in no way an expert so wait for some other opinions

I was doubting that due to its behavior (sometimes very easily scared) but that may be to thar the fact that he doesn't yet have any time spent with the flock. I will try to figure another solution!
