What gender is my EE?

These are the first two chickens we've ever owned so we are pretty clueless! Any guesses on the EE's gender? I'm worried she might be a he.

Can I ask what markers give it away?
I've had someone else say cockerel, so just curious. My son is very attached and we can't keep roosters here. I'm just crossing everything that you guys are right lol.

Sure

first off for me is the overall coloring. This is a classic female color. Males are brighter colored, with patchy areas of red or other bright colors, designed to say "Look at me!" You pullet is drab colored, nothing flashy, she's designed to blend into her surroundings and say "There's nothing to see here".

A male at this age would also have a larger, plumper comb that was getting red. Male Easter eggers often have three rows of bumps on the comb, making gender pretty obvious from a fairly young age.

You have two nice looking pullets, and I think your boy will be overjoyed the first time he finds an egg
