What gender is my silkie?

Hi, so I bought 2 silkies from 2 different people in hope to breed. They are over 5 months now and I need help sexing one. 1 of my 2 is white, I know she is a she because she sits on eggs and lays but doesn't brood. The other one is a blue splash buff silkie ( I don't know gender). Also can you breed a buff to a normal hen? Thanks anything helps.

The splash looks like it maybe a Cockerel. Getting a good picture of standing posture will help?
